Gluten-Free in Wyoming!

We recently visited family in Wyoming and didn't have to look very far for gluten-free food! Our first stop was Casper where we visited the store: "Everything Gluten-Free". We also had a great conversation with Rock Hurless of My 2nd Kitchen - no gluten-free serving stations as yet but maybe in the future.

Spent a few days in Worland, visited the Hot Springs in Thermopolis and later got in touch with our old friend Shreve Stockton. Shreve is author of Eating Gluten Free (published by Marlowe & Company).

We were treated to a gluten-free Easter dinner by Sunday & family that included homemade cornbread, rice pasta w/shrimp and brownies. Delicious! Thanks to all the family who cooked and decorated the table and made us feel really welcome. It was a real treat to be able to eat everything served and we couldn't leave without some of Sean's brownies for the drive home!

Last stop - snowy Denver where we got together with more family at P.F Chang's and enjoyed our favorite Lemon Scallops, together with Lettuce Wraps and Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. Does everyone know that P.F Chang's is one of the few restaurants with a gluten-free menu? Be sure to request it. The food's terrific!

A great gluten-free trip! Now back to our LA kitchen ....

Happy St Patrick's Day!

There's still time to sign up for our gluten-free corned beef & cabbage as part of next week's selection! Celebrate St Patrick's Day without worrying about what you're eating. All our foods are gluten and dairy-free and delivered fresh - not frozen. Check out the rest of the week's menus at http://www.glutenfreeglobal.com

GFG RECYCLING!

Our containers can be microwaved or frozen and as yet are not bio-degradable. However, thanks to all our loyal customers who return containers and thermal bags each week. We do sterilise and re-use them! New customers - it's easy: just leave any clean, empty containers in your GFG thermal bag outside your door next time we deliver to you. The more we can circulate these items, the better for the environment. Thanks for your help!

Food Intolerance in Children

This morning we presented samples at the Pasadena Child Development Workshop on Food Intolerance in Children. Samples included our popular Curried Zucchini Soup, Fennel & Squash Soup, my mother's delicious Salmon Mousse recipe (a Christmas favorite at home!) and Joel's Garlic Hummus which was a definite favorite! We met dieticians and parents people with insight into kid's dietary needs. We were delighted to be invited to participate, thanks to speaker Patricia Novak. Her daughter was a great help in the kitchen with the soups and dixi cups! Thanks to all! Check out the website: http://www.pasadenachilddevelopment.org/

Now back to Monday's menus... there's still time to sign up at http://www.glutenfreeglobal.com/
